Android 8.0 Oreo update roundup: factory images and OTAs are here

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably heard by now that Googlerecently announcedthe next major version of Android, 8.0 Oreo.
While Google was pretty vague about when exactly this new Android version would roll out, it looks like we didn’t have to wait that long. Over-the-air updatesbegan rolling outto compatible Pixel and Nexus devices within a few minutes, factory images for those with unlocked bootloaders appeared now long after, and now a week later it looks like the OTA files are being posted too.
If you happen to own a Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, or Nexus 5X, and don’t mind doing a bit of dirty work, you’ve come to the right place. We’re rounding up all the Android 8.0 Oreo factory image and OTA file links we can get our hands on.
Below you’ll find a list of Android Oreofactory imagesandOTA filesfor all recent Pixel and Nexus devices. We’ll be sure to keep this list up to date with links as soon as they show up, so keep checking back if your update isn’t here yet!
Before you get stuck in, it’s worth noting that there are a two different Oreo builds for the Pixel and Pixel XL phones at the moment. Bell, Telus, Telstra, TMO, Sprint, USCC, or Rogers/Fido customers will want version OPR6.170623.011, while all other carrier options should use build number OPR6.170623.012. I should also point out that the Nexus 6P factory image won’t work with UScellular yet, and the OTA is also not designed for use with T-Mobile, UScellular, or Fi.
