BlackBerry Motion now available for sale in the US via Amazon and Best Buy

June 24, 2025

TheBlackBerry Motion, which launched a few months ago in other parts of the world, is now available officially in the US. The phone only works on GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile. It’s on sale at both Amazon and Best Buy.

At the moment, Amazon’s own shipment is out of stock, but you can still purchase it from the retailer via third parties. That route is more costly, as the current listing shows a price starting at around $520. A better bet for now is the Best Buy listing, where you can still get the BlackBerry Motion for its standard price of $449.99.

The phone itself is the latest handset inBlackBerry’s ongoing licensing deal with TCL, which is now designing and making phones carrying the BlackBerry brand name. Unlike the earlierBlackBerry KEYonewith its physical keyboard, the Motion has a full 5.5-inch touchscreen display. Inside, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. There’s also a 12 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery. It’s the first TCL-made BlackBerry phone to have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. It currently comes with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, though an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo is expected in the near future.

The company recently teasednew BlackBerry smartphones to be launched later this year which makes the partnership with TCL seem like it’s been successful so far. What’s coming down the pipe next from this collaboration could be interesting.
