Coros just announced the Vertix 2, a GPS watch with 60 days of battery life

August 08, 2025

We can’t say for sure, but the team at Coros may have been listening to some classic Daft Punk during the design process. The new Vertix 2 looks poised to go harder, better, faster, and stronger than the original, and that’s saying something.

For starters, the new watch is tapped to offer a new dual-frequency GNSS chipset. This should allow the Vertix 2 to handle even more diverse environments from forests to caves with three uniqueGPS modes. The added frequency should help to combat thick tree coverage and steep walls.

Those of you hoping to download maps for long hikes and trail runs can choose between Landscape, Topographic, and Hybrid versions. You’ll also be able to see your maps better than ever with the new 1.4-inch touchscreen — the largest on any Coros watch.

Coros has long prioritized battery life, and the Vertix 2 boasts 60 days of juice outside of GPS mode. You can also tap into 140 hours of GPS tracking or 35 hours of combined GPS and music playback. The watch offers a solid 32GB of storage, which should be more than enough for your favorite songs and podcasts.
