Does the new Chromecast support Apple TV?

You still can’t useApple TV Pluson an Android phone, but that isn’t stopping Google from bringing it to the company’s own media streaming device. The Apple TV app, which includes Apple TV Plus, is now available to download on theChromecast with Google TVstreaming media device.

How to add Apple TV to Chromecast with Google TV
If you own the Chromecast with Google TV or an Android TV, it’s pretty simple to add the Apple TV app to the device
Download the Apple TV app from the Google TV app store. You can also download the app directly from the link below
Sign into your Apple account to access the app. You should be able to access all of your purchased movies and TV shows in the Library section of the app.
Apple TV Plus was rolling out to Android TV before, but primarily to Sony sets. More Android TV devices will get support “in the future,” Google said.

Google thinks this might give it an edge in the living room. With Apple TV Plus, the Chromecast with Google TV is one of the few streaming devices to support all the major services.
The announcement might be frustrating for some people, though. While Apple TV Plus is available on a wide range of non-Apple gear, includinggame consoles, dedicated boxes, and smart TVs, you still can’t use it on an Android phone or tablet. That makes the service a tough sell if you don’t live in an Apple-centric household and sometimes watch beyond the TV.
