Halfbrick Studios to bring Fruit Ninja to VR

Fruit Ninjawas a massive hit for mobile gaming back in 2010 when it was released on iOS and Android. With such a simple concept of swiping the screen to slice and dice a variety of fruit, it lead to hours of competitive gameplay to beat your friends’ score, and now Halfbrick Studios have announced that the title is heading to VR.

The game is set to be compatible with all existing VR headsets including theHTC Vive,Playstation VR,Oculus Rift, and evenGoogle Daydream VR. The title will come with the three familiar game modes of Zen, Classic, and Arcade as in the original title, but will also include a new PvP mode that is optimized for VR that will see two players up against each other in a fight to the fruit-end.

Adam Wood, product manager ofFruit Ninja VR, says:

Fruit Ninja is set for a June release for the Vive and Rift and an unspecified date later this year for the Playstation VR andDaydream VR. Pricing for the title is yet to be announced.
