This method is specific to the LG G8 ThinQ and feels very futuristic, but it takes some getting used to. The phone sports a ToF (time-of-flight) camera up front that recognizes the shape as well as the movement of your hand and allows you to control certain aspects of the device — like taking a screenshot — without touching it.

The first step is to wave your hand over the device and wait for the camera to recognize it — you’ll see an icon on the display when it does. Then just pinch the air to take a screenshot by bringing two of your fingertips together and pulling them apart. That’s it!
LG G8 screenshot method 3: Google Assistant
You can take a screenshot on the LG G8 with the help ofGoogle Assistant. The first thing to do is to launch it by saying, “OK Google”, or by pressing the dedicated Assistant button on the left side of the device. Then just say, “Take a screenshot,” or type in the command with the keyboard if that’s more your thing.

The last method of taking a screenshot on the LG G8 is also the most advanced one. To get started, pull down the notification bar and tap the Capture+ icon. Then select whether you want to grab a standard or an extended screenshot at the bottom of the screen. You can also add text or draw on the screenshot using the tools available up top.
After you’re satisfied with your creation, tap the checkmark icon in the top-left corner and save the screenshot to the Gallery.
