HUAWEI P9, P9 Plus and P9 Lite update tracker (Update: Camera and Gallery improvements)

The updated build (EVA-L19C185B393) adds Moving Picture mode which lets users take dynamic photos in the Camera app’s Standard mode. There are also improvements to the Gallery app, including the ability to search for photos by date, location, or album name, and the addition of Highlights – a feature that lets users select multiple images and videos to commemorate an occasion or moment.
As well as general optimizations to the Mirror app and selfie shots, it also adds a new setting which, when activated, prompts the phone to install the latest updates between 2:00 am-4:00 am when not in use.

HUAWEI P9 Android Nougat and Oreo update
HUAWEI began its global rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat to the P9 series in mid-2017 via EMUI 5.0. The question now is will HUAWEI update P9 devices toAndroid 8.0 Oreo?
We’re still waiting, but if you do want to try and upgrade to EMUI 5.0 (Android Nougat) on your P9 now, you can have a go at this guide from theXDA Developers forums. It would essentially mean that your device becomes an unbranded UK model running EMUI 5, however, it looks quite tricky and means you would void your device warranty. Your call.
