Latest version of AutoVoice adds Google Home and Amazon Echo support

Several weeks ago, thebeta version of the popular AutoVoice appadded support for using the app with theGoogle Homespeaker. This week, AutoVoice developer Joao Dias launched the new, non-beta version of AutoVoice 3.0, adding support for not just Google Home but alsoAmazon’s Echo series of speakersthat use its Alexa digital assistant.
That means that Google Home and the Echo speakers will now be able to recognize both direct and natural language voice commands forTasker, with the use of AutoVoice (this will also require the installation of Tasker on your smartphone). Home and Echo owners can either said “Ok Google, open AutoVoice” or “Alexa, open AutoVoice” respectively, to begin using the app and Tasker commands.
The new 3.0 version also brings, as we stated before,natural language support to AutoVoice, after first launching in the beta build of the app. This will allow you to use more flexible and conversational voice commands with AutoVoice. However, in order to enable this feature, users will also have to pay a monthly fee of 99 cents. This is to help compensate for the cost of running the servers needed to support natural language commands. Finally, AutoVoice 3.0 also supports the use of these natural language features with IFTTT recipes.
While AutoVoice is made for the hardcore Android and Tasker users, the new 3.0 version should open up a ton of new ways to use Google Home and Amazon Echo speakers for their owners. Interested in giving it a shot? Download AutoVoice at the Google Play link below.
