LG V40 release date
We’ve also been told the LG V40 release date will be in early October, right alongside the expectedGoogle Pixel 3launch. With theOnePlus 6TandHUAWEI Mate 20also expected around the same time, October is shaping up to be a jam-packed month with some hefty competition for your holiday season dollars.
The run-through of the LG V40 specs is generally standard fare for a 2018 flagship:Snapdragon 845with 6GB of RAM and 64 and 128GB storage options. The 3,300mAh battery will disappoint some, but LG clearly seems to think slightly thinner devices are preferable to the added bulk a bigger battery would provide, despite the V series’ tank-like original, theV10.

The LG V40’s five cameras are the real showstopper here, with a triple lens setup on the back and a dual camera on the front. Rumors suggest the front-facing dual cameras can be used as a stereo pair. On the back, the presence of a wide-aperture primary lens with both a wide-angle and 2x optical zoom lens should keep photographers happy.
Audio has always been the V series’ stand-out category and the V40 specs include a QuadDAC and Stereo Boombox sound. An IP68 rating and MIL-STD 810G certification should protect you against accidental drops and dips. The presence of the notch will not please everyone, but the 6.4-inch QHD+ P-OLED display should deliver the goods, assuming LG can avoid the screen issues that have plagued it recently.
Given the competition coming up in October, do you think the LG V40 can compete?
