The Marshmallow update packs in the new core Android features, such as Doze mode battery management, configurable app permissions, and Google Now on Tap. The latest February 2016 security patches from Google are included in the package as well. Sony has also made a number of tweaks to the user interface, included a new Xperia Home launcher, and made some adjustments to its camera app. However, Sony’s STAMINA mode appears to have been removed with this update and the company hasn’t implemented Marshmallow’sadoptable storagemode for microSD cards either.

As always, this update might take a little longer to actually appear on your handset. So just sit tight. Marshmallow for the Xperia Z5 is finally here.
