July 20, 2025

We got our first look at what is allegedly theMotorola P40back in December, and it now seems like more details have emerged regarding the upcoming mid-range handset.

According to91Mobiles, the new phone will be powered by Samsung’sExynos 9610chipset. This processor is positioned as a mid-range offering akin to theMediaTek Helio P60, delivering four Cortex-A73 CPU cores and four power-sipping Cortex-A53 cores. We also see a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 10nm design here.

The Motorola P30 successor, apparently called the Motorola P40.

It wouldn’t be the first time Samsung has served up Exynos chips to other manufacturers, as the company previously issued its flagship processors toMeizu. But it would still be a noteworthy occurrence, as the Korean brand generally reserves its chipsets for internal use.

As for core specs, the outlet says the punch hole phone will offer a 3,500mAh battery and will be available in 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB, and 4GB/128GB flavors. We initially thought the phone would lack NFC, but91Mobileshas indeed confirmed that it’ll support the connectivity option.

The outlet also reiterates its previous leak, saying the Motorola P40 will be equipped with a 48MP main rear camera. This means Motorola is set to join the likes ofHisense,Honor,Huawei,Xiaomiand others in offering a48MP smartphone.
