New Razer Book 13 is a productivity laptop (although you can still game on it)

August 24, 2025

In 2016, Razer launched the firstBlade Stealthlaptop. This gaming PC didn’t feature an in-body graphics card. Instead, you would connect it tothe Razer Core accessorywhich could house a graphics card of your choosing. This allowed you to get powerful gaming graphics when you needed them, but also get portability when you didn’t.

Today, Razer is launching a new laptop that takes things a step further: the Razer Book 13. Unlike the Blade Stealth series, the Book 13 is built with productivity in mind exclusively. As such, it’s the first effort from Razer to move into the ultrabook market, rather than gearing its products only towards gamers and creatives.

Granted, you could still game on the Book 13 if you wanted. It has no dedicated GPU but will support all of the Razer Core accessories.

Price and availability

Looking at the design, specs, and pricing of the Razer Book 13, it’s clear Razer is gunning towards the ultrabook market currently dominated by Dell with itsXPS 13 series. At the same time, it’s also gunning for some of the MacBook Pro market, to which the Book 13 owes some of its design inspiration.

The non-touch, FHD+ version of the Book 13 will start at$1,200 / €1,300. That will come with the Intel Core i5 (11th-gen) and 8GB of RAM. The upgraded model with a touchscreen display, a Core i7 processor, and 16GB of RAM will start at$1,600 / €1,700. The all-out model with a UHD+ display and 512GB of storage will likely push the $2,000 mark.
