Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition launched, but can you spot the difference?
July 07, 2025
There’s a newSamsungmid-ranger with a big battery available in India this month. The Korean company has announced theGalaxy M21 2021 Edition‘s arrival in the country.
As its name suggests, the Galaxy M21 2021 edition isn’t a vast upgrade over the original M21 launched in March 2020. Visually, it is slightly different.

While the M21 2021 retains the 20MP waterdrop selfie shooter of its predecessor, it packs a redesigned rear camera array. The primary 48MP sensor now sits on its own and below the 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth sensors. The rear also features a pinstripe design. There’s also a physical fingerprint sensor on the back.
The phone’s fronted by a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, while internally, there’s an unnamed 10nm octa-core CPU. Presumably, Samsung’s reusing the Exynos 9611 here. Powering this chip is a 6,000mAh battery, continuing the precedent set by previous Galaxy M models. A 15W charging system also features.
Other features include an SD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a USB-C port.
Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition: Price and availability
The Galaxy M21 2021 Edition, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, comes in a little cheaper than its predecessorat Rs 12,499 (~$164). It’s a tiny improvement of around $6, but it’s an improvement nonetheless.
If you own a Galaxy M21, don’t bother upgrading. Of course, those looking for a specs improvement should look further up the Samsung ladder or consider the lengthy list of alternatives. That price drops the Galaxy M21 2021 in among the impressiveRedmi Note 10and 5G-packingPOCO M3 Pro.
The Galaxy M21 2021 goes on sale in India on Amazon from July 26 in Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black colorways.
