Samsung launches a new Chromebook Plus V2 with LTE

July 21, 2025

Samsungannounced theChromebook Plus V2back in June as the follow-up to — you guessed it — 2017’sChromebook Plus. Now, the company revealed a “side-grade” in the form of the Chromebook Plus V2 (LTE).

Even though the name is a bit clumsy, the Chromebook Plus V2 (LTE) is the first SamsungChromebookto feature LTE connectivity. It might seem like a small addition, but LTE allows folks to use devices in many more places and circumvents the need to connect to a secure Wi-Fi network.

The timing of this announcement is likely not a coincidence. Microsoft has been working with Qualcomm to bringAlways Connected PCsto the market which feature Qualcomm processors and LTE connectivity. With additional Always Connected PCson the horizon, it makes sense for Samsung,Google, and Intel to want a slice of that market while it’s still young.

The rest of the guts seem untouched, however. That means the Chromebook Plus V2 (LTE) features a 12.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, an Intel Celeron 3965Y processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. There is a microSD card slot for up to 400GB of additional storage, along with two USB Type-C ports, a headphone jack, and power and volume buttons along the sides.

The Chromebook Plus V2 (LTE) will sell for $600 when it goes on sale November 2. you’re able to buy the device from Samsung.com, Best Buy, or Verizon, though Samsung did not say how much monthly plans would cost. Seeing how you would just use data and that’s it, we do not expect those monthly prices to be very high.
