Samsung One UI 2.1 rolling out to Galaxy S10, Note 10 series in US today

Update, August 20, 2025 (3:50AM ET):Samsung confirmed last week that it was bringing One UI 2.1 to more devices, after the update launched on theGalaxy S20series.

Galaxy S10andNote 10 seriesowners in the US won’t have to wait anymore though, as Samsung justrevealedthat One UI 2.1 is coming to those devices in the market from today (April 3). News of the US update comes roughly a week after Korean devices reportedly received it.

The update brings several Galaxy S20 series features to the older phones, including the Single Take mode, Night Hyperlapse, Pro Video, and custom filters. Other notable features include an improved gallery app, Quick Crop, Quick Share, and Music Share.

Original article, June 15, 2025 (4:56PM ET):When theSamsung Galaxy S20 serieslanded, the three phones in the line came pre-loaded with Samsung One UI 2.1. This was a new version of the Android skin that no other phones had at the time.

Now, though, Samsung One UI 2.1 is coming to other phones outside of the Galaxy S20 line. In fact, two lines of devices should start seeing the updatestarting today.

So far, Samsung has confirmed that all devices inthe Samsung Galaxy S10 familyandSamsung Galaxy Note 10 familywill see Samsung One UI 2.1. It appears the update is rolling out in Korea now, but it should start landing in many other countries around the world soon.

Furthermore, theSamsung Galaxy S9 series, as well as theSamsung Galaxy Note 9, should also see the upgrade to One UI 2.1 However, Samsung has yet to confirm that — it’s still just a rumor witha Samsung community moderatoras the source for that information. It seems likely that those two series of devices will see the update, though, considering they already have One UI 2.0 and the upgrades of 2.1 aren’t too crazy.

Speaking of which, most of the updates within Samsung One UI 2.1 relate to the camera. Features that were emphasized heavilyat the Galaxy S20 launch eventare now making their way to older devices. These features include Single Take, which creates multiple forms of media from a single tap of the shutter button, as well as an improved Night Mode, the addition of Night Hyperlapse, and custom filters.
