Sol Republic comeback includes true wireless, noise cancelling earbuds

Sol Republic is refreshing its line ofBluetoothproducts, including the Amps Air +true wireless earbuds, two pairs of wireless earbuds, and two pairs of wireless headphones. The company’s push for wireless listening reflectsmobile audio’sshift to wireless as theheadphone jackbecomes ever more elusive.

Sol Republic Amps Air +

This pair of true wireless earbuds follows theAmps Air, which looked unique but had unbearableconnectivity issues. This model includesnoise cancelingwith ambient environmental awareness — a feature shared by theSony WF-SP700N. Additionally, the shape of the Amps Air + has changed compared to the original variant and Sol Republic claims this will aid in an improved fit.

What’s more, the earbuds feature anIPX5water-resistant build, making them a fine option forathletes. The company claims listeners may enjoy five hours of playback prior to recharging the earbuds in the carrying case, which provides an additional four charges.

The Sol Republic Amps Air + will be available in October for $199.99.

Wireless earbuds

Sol RepublicFreestyle Wireless earbuds are targeted toward athletes and boast an IPX5 certification like the Amps Air +. Included is a plethora of wing andear tipsto promote a stable fit for vigorous movement. With eight-hour battery life, the Freestyle Wireless packs enough stamina to get listeners through a week ofworkouts.

The company has also revamped itsShadow Wirelessearbuds, under the name Shadow Fusion with Tile, which retains the neckband form. Listeners can track the neckband earbuds via the Tile app which also notifies users of the last location Bluetooth pairing was initiated. The flexible neckband piece is covered in a knit-tech fabric, and the earbuds feature magnetic housings.

The Freestyle Wireless will be available in July for $79.99, and theShadow Fusion with Tile will be available in February for $129.99.

Wireless headphones

To satiate consumers’ needs and desires for wireless headphones, Sol will release two options: the Soundtrack and Soundtrack Pro ANC.

The former closely resembles the company’s initial Track HD headphones and provides 30 hours of playback on a single charge. Users can operate playback controls directly from the headset and can take calls via the integratedmicrophone. As listeners have come to expect from Sol Republic headphones, the Soundtrack has abass-heavy sound signature.

On the other hand, the Sol Republic Soundtrack Pro ANC includes noise canceling as the name implies. When noise canceling is active, listeners can enjoy up to 24 hours of playback, and with it inactive, listeners are allowed 48 hours of wireless listening. Behind each memory foam ear cushion sits a 40mmdynamic driver.

Both Soundtrack headphones seem competentBeats alternativesfor a more reasonable price. The Soundtrack will be available in July for $149.99, and the Soundtrack Pro ANC will be available in October for $199.99.
