Stable EMUI 11 is finally rolling out to HUAWEI P30 series devices

Update: June 20, 2025 (5:45AM ET):It’s been well over a year since the HUAWEI P30 series received its stable Android 10 update. Now, it seems that global users are receiving theEMUI 11update.
PerHuaweiCentral, the phones are receiving version 11.0.0.138. Weighing in at 1.8GB, the update’s much smaller than the jump from EMUI 9 to EMUI 10. It’s probably as EMUI 11 is still based on Android 10.
That said, it does bring a number of new features to the devices. A more customizable always-on display meets other animation tweaks to the UI.

HUAWEI P30 and P30 Pro update
The HUAWEI P30 and 30 Pro launched withEMUI9 based onAndroid 9. Like most Android flagships, these are expected to receive two major updates in the future.
The P30 series saw some notable updates in its early years. In March 2019, the P30 and P30 Pro received buffs to their fingerprint unlock performance. Instagram issues and an always-on display bug were also fixed.
In May 2020, the HUAWEI P30 and P30 Pro saw an update to improve photo quality, the ability to scan an alternate look in face unlock, and that month’s Android security patch.
Another major update came in July 2020. PerHuaweiCentral, DC dimming made its debut with the EMUI 9.1.0.175 update. Further fixes to the fingerprint reader and camera were made, too.
Stable EMUI 10, based on Android 10, rolled out to the HUAWEI P30 series in November 2019. The update, numbered 10.0.0.168, weighed in at 4.4GB. Since then, HUAWEI has released a number of small updates either packing an Android security patch refresh or minor bugfixes.
In November 2020, the HUAWEI P30 series received EMUI 10.1 — its first major version revision in a year. It arrived with the October 2020 security patch.
In January 2021, the P30 Pro received a new update to EMUI 10.1. Numbered 10.1.0.203, the update brought the January 2021 security patch.
