The Mi Band 3i is Xiaomi’s affordable new fitness tracker for India

Following a series of teasers on Twitter, Xiaomi has finally announced the Mi Band 3i. Designed specifically for India, the wearable makes a few omissions over theMi Band 4to hit a much more affordable price point.
Positioned as an upgrade over the Mi Band HRX, the 3i features a larger 0.78-inch display. The AMOLED panel is touch capable, and you can swipe around to launch activities or jump between display panels.

The battery too has been upgraded from 70mAh all the way to 110mAh. Xiaomi claims that it should allow for up to 20 days of battery life. Xiaomi’s wearables are known for their ability to eke out fantastic battery life as we saw in our review of theMi Band 4, which is one of ourabsolute favorite fitness trackers. That tracker is the follow-up to last year’sMi Band 3, which was one of our favorite trackers at that time, too.

While the Mi Band 3i retains most of the features you’d expect, including notifications of apps, raise to view notifications, being able to handle incoming calls. What you do miss out on, is a heart rate sensor. If granular data during fitness sessions is an important buying factor for you, consider stepping up to the Mi Band 4.

The Mi Band 3i is now available at mi.com. Priced at Rs. 1,299, it is one of the most affordable wearables in India.
