The Moto Watch 100 could be the next Motorola-flavored smartwatch

July 19, 2025

It’s been a few long months since the last Motorola-brandedsmartwatchmade its debut. But according to a new report, a new model bearing the Moto Watch 100 name is in the works.

Per apress releasepublished by CE Brands (spotted by9to5Google), the Moto Watch 100 will pack an “entry-level” price but will be an “affordable premium-feeling smartwatch.”

The firm didn’t shed any light on the smartwatch’s specs, but a slide deck spotted by9to5Googlepoints to a watch bearing the model number MOSWZ100. It packs a 5 ATM water resistance rating, a heart rate sensor, GPS, and an aluminum case. Its correspondingFCC listinghints at a 355mAh battery and Bluetooth 5.2 support, too. That’s a fairly standard loadout for the current crop of mid-range smartwatches.

If you’re wondering why Motorola isn’t behind the press release, it’s a little complicated. After 2016, when Motorola canned its smartwatch program, Canadian firm eBuyNow grabbed the licensing rights to distribute smartwatches with the Motorola moniker. Since then, eBuyNow was acquired by CE Brands, which now holds the rights until 2025.

Notably, theMoto 360 (2019)was the last device from eBuyNow to sport the Motorola badge. It was a solid effort, too, with our Jimmy Westenberg calling it “one of the betterWear OSwatches” to launch that year. There’s no word if the Moto Watch 100 will also run Google’s wearable OS.

So when can we expect the Moto Watch 100? CE Brands expects mass production to kick off in November 2021, suggesting that its storefront arrival might not be too far away.
