The POCO M2 Pro hits an all-new price point for the brand

August 05, 2025

The POCO M2 Pro is the company’s latest affordable smartphone following the launch of thePOCO X2earlier in the year. Once again, POCO has cribbed Xiaomi’s design, this time theRedmi Note 9 Pro, but has made a few changes that should help it stand out from its stablemates.

Key specifications for the hardware include aSnapdragon 720Gchipset paired up with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Additionally, there’s a quad-camera setup at the rear. The cameras are fairly versatile too and include a 48MP primary shooter paired up with an 8MP ultrawide camera as well as macro, depth sensors. Just like the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the 6.67-inch display over at the front includes a central punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

While the main specifications might be similar, the POCO M2 Pro has a few tricks up its sleeve. The biggest, of course, is the fast 33W charging support. The included power brick promises to top-off the large 5,000mAh battery in under 90 minutes which is definitely a welcome addition.

The phone will be available in three color options, namely Green and Greener, Out of the Blue, and Two Shades of Black. POCO is gunning for the competition with the M2 Pro and has priced it to move. The phone starts at Rs. 13,999 (~$186) for the 4GB/64GB variant, while bumping up to the 6GB/64GB variant will cost you Rs. 14,999 (~$200). Finally, the top-end 6GB/128GB version of the phone comes in at Rs. 16,999 (~$226).
