Tiny Palm ‘Pepito’ smartphone now has another set of leaked images

July 19, 2025

Over the past few months, we’ve seen leaks of information regardinga Palm “Pepito” smartphone. The rumors suggest thatTCLis reviving the Palm brand — much like it did withBlackBerry— by releasing a nostalgia-fueled Android device, codenamed “Pepito.”

Now, we have some new images that allegedly show the back, front, and right side of the Palm Pepito, viaAndroid Headlines.

Unlikethe previous set of leaked images, these new pics are much clearer and give us a better look at what the device will possibly be like. Check them out for yourself below:

As you’re able to see, the Palm Pepito is quite simple. The display is very small (allegedly a 3.3-inch, 720p display) with large bezels on all sides. There’s a single camera lens on the rear along with a flash, and a selfie-shooter on the front. On the sides of the device, you can see what we assume is a power button as well as a SIM card slot.

Most interestingly, the Android UI as depicted in these leaked images is radically different from any other Android smartphone we’ve seen. It looks more like the interface on an Apple Watch than anything we’ve seen from Android.

Now, it could be that the UI shown in the image is just an artist’s conception of what the interface will look like. But it’s certainly possible — given that the screen is so tiny — that the Palm Pepito will come withan Android launcherthat is specifically designed to make using a small device easier.

Previous rumors suggest thatVerizon will have exclusive rights to the Palm Pepito, but a launch date, price, or much of the other info we’d like to know is still a mystery.

The Palm Pepito certainly seems like a crazy gamble for TCL, but the same was probably said when it announced it was releasing a BlackBerry phone with a physical keyboard. The BlackBerry KEY line has proven to be successful for the brand, so maybe this Palm Pepito will be another unlikely success for TCL.

What do you think? Would you buy a phone this small and this different? Let us know in the comments!
