Withings announces the Pulse HR fitness tracker with 20-day battery life
August 08, 2025
Withings has been focused on analoghybrid smartwatchesfor a few years now, but today it’s getting back into thefitness trackergame. The Withings Pulse HR is the company’s new fitness tracker, a follow-up to the Withings Pulse from 2013.
The Pulse HR’s $130 price tag puts it head-to-head with other fitness trackers like theFitbit Charge 3andGarmin vivosmart 4. At least under the hood, the Withings device seems to keep up with the competition. It comes with a photoplethysmography (PPG)heart rate sensor, which will measure your heart rate in 10-minute intervals throughout the day and continuously during activities. you may also track your activities withGPSif you don’t mind taking your phone with you when you go out for a run.

The Pulse HR also has a 5ATM water resistance rating, the ability to track up to 30 different activities, automatic activity recognition, and 20-day battery life. That beats the pants off the Charge 3 and vivosmart 4’s seven-day battery life.
Withings says the Pulse HR has a “modern design,” but I’d have to disagree — it looks decidedly generic and doesn’t have that Withings flair we’ve seen with devices like theSteel HR.
