Xiaomi has plans for the UK in November
August 04, 2025
Even thoughXiaomisits pretty as one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers, the company announced it will officially make its way to the U.K. starting November 8.
Products that Xiaomi plans to sell in the U.K. include a “flagship smartphone” and several of its smart home products. We can assume the unnamed phone is the recently-announcedMi Mix 3, which features a manual sliding mechanism and an incredibly high screen-to-body ratio.

Xiaomi will also open the first official Mi store in the U.K. November 10. The store will live in White City’s Westfield shopping center, the largest shopping center in the U.K. In addition to the flagship smartphone and smart home devices, the store might also sell Xiaomi’s electric scooter, portable batteries, and other products.
There were already hints of Xiaomi’s launch in the U.K., thanks to its partnership with CK Hutchinsonback in Mayto bring its products to Three Group Europe stores. Three is one of the largest U.K. carriers and said it would sell Xiaomi phones in its stores in the near future.

Today’s announcement did not say when Three will offer the phones, though it should only be a matter of time.
Also notable is Xiaomi’s increased presence in Europe since late 2017, when the companylaunched in Spainwith theMi A1andMi Mix 2. Xiaomithen launchedin France and Italy in May before launching itsonline Mi Storein the U.K., Germany, France, and the U.S. in late May.
Even with the potential for additional market share, Xiaomi faces an uphill challenge in the U.K. Companies likeApple,Samsung, andHuaweiare well-established in the country. EvenOnePluslooks to further expand its U.K. presence with additionalretail and carrier partnershipsin time for theOnePlus 6Tlaunch.
However, Xiaomi saw its European market sharesignificantly growby over 1,000 percent for Q1 2018. Those numbers look to only increase as Xiaomi continues to expand in the continent.
