June 30, 2025
Update: June 21, 2025 (4:45 AM ET): More evidence that Xiaomi is working on aMi 11Pro has been uncovered in the code ofMIUI 12‘s Gallery app.
Per anXDAteardown, the stock app makes mention of the phone and seemingly suggests it will have a curved display, too. Beyond this, not much else is known about the phone beyond the info garnered from leaks. But at least now you can be assured a Pro model is in the works for 2021.

Original article: July 05, 2025 (1:50 AM ET): Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 earlier this week, making for a solid upgrade in theory over the standardMi 10. The Mi 10 Pro was also released earlier this year, but Xiaomi didn’t mention a Mi 11 Pro at Tuesday’s launch event.
Now, Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station hassuggestedthat a Mi 11 Pro is indeed coming. More specifically, the leaker alleges that the Pro variant has “exactly the same” screen specs as the standard model. Check out the screenshot below.

The leaker also claimed in aprevious commentthat the standard and Pro models wouldn’t launch together and that the standard variant would be the only option available before the Spring Festival (held in mid-February). In other words, it’s suggested that a Pro model would be available thereafter.
The vanilla Mi 11 packs a QHD+ OLED screen for the first time since 2016’sMi Note Pro. But it also offers a 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, and Gorilla Glass Victus. So if the tipster is correct about the Pro model’s existence and screen details, then it could deliver a great display experience on paper too.
We’ve asked Xiaomi for comment regarding the existence of the Mi 11 Pro but the company said it had nothing to share right now. Nevertheless, we’d expect a Pro model to feature faster wired charging and telephoto cameras, among other upgrades.

Digital Chat Station also asserts that Xiaomi is working on a new phone with an under-screen selfie camera. This wouldn’t be a surprise, as the manufacturerconfirmedin August that it will be mass-producing phones with this tech in 2021.
