Xiaomi POCOphone F1 gets an upgrade: Welcome Android 10.

ThePocophone F1was the first entry into Xiaomi’s POCOphone subsidiary back in 2018. At the time, it caught nearly everyone’s eye because of its incredible value for the money. Though the device’sSnapdragon845 SoC is a little dated compared to some of the more recent competition, it’s still a decent purchase. And today, Xiaomi has begun rolling outAndroid 10to thePocophone F1, giving consumers one more reason to give it another look.

According toPiunika Web, the update first rolled out in January but only to a select number of users. Xiaomi then planned for a global release in February, but the company had to put the update on hold to take care of a few bugs. Finally, Xiaomi began the Android 10 basedMIUI 11 betaglobal release two days ago, March 4. Not even 48 hours later, POCOphone F1 owners began reporting they were receiving the stable version of Android 10 even if they weren’t participating in the beta program (h/t:Android Police).

The update brings all the standard Android 10 goodness along with it, but the POCOphone F1’sMIUI 11 skinalso adds a few more tweaks of its own. Users can expect the new Android system-widedark mode, betterprivacy, new fonts, and even OPPO, Xiaomi, and vivo’s newApple AirDrop alternative. There are also several other new additions introduced here, including the February Android security patch.
